With a diverse legal background, Maria’s broad range of experience provides her with a unique perspective on how she approaches her clients needs.

Maria began her legal career as a litigator in private practice before transitioning in-house as managing corporate counsel for a national company. In this role, she gained extensive experience in corporate governance and legal strategy, overseeing state and federal litigation involving commercial real estate, consumer affairs, and regulatory disputes. She later joined an AM Law 100 firm, where she provided cross-functional legal support to clients in highly regulated industries, including real estate, distribution, and global consulting. This experience ultimately led her to join Matt Toler and focus exclusively on real estate law.

Maria is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Savannah Bar Association. She is also an affiliate member of the Savannah Area REALTORS and the Home Builders Association of Savannah. Admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Georgia, she serves on the boards of several local organizations, demonstrating her commitment to both her profession and community.

Outside the office, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband, Christopher Comer, and their son, John.
